Recently I was watching a friend play WoW and under his conditions buffs debuffs and whatever there was a small timer showing the remaining time. This would be a nice addition to GW to see the remaining time on things like stances, enchants, skills, conditions, hexes, and whatever else one could think of below the effect.

I certainly wouldn't mind this, but I've found it pretty useful to use my skills as my timer.

Even something as simple as Backfire. 10 second duration, 20 or 25 second recharge. Cast it on an enemy, then when the Backfire icon in your skill bar is nearing the half-way point as it recharges, you know Backfire is going to wear off. I usually follow it up with Guilt or Shame, then Mark of Subversion. Makes for a pretty nice anti-caster chain when you can "see" the rhythm.

Works for pretty much everything I've found. Monk enchants, Nec/Mes hexes, Ele spells...it's really quite cool.

But provided it'd be a customizeable UI feature so I could turn it off (One, I wouldn't need it, and two, it may become cluttered), sure, why not have a skill timer display.

What if the icon showing the conditions, hexes, etc. would have a timer such as the recharge timer on the skills in the skill bar. No numbers, but the radar style thing making the icon dark.
